Update: 5/4/2022 – Voting Problems
We have early reports that there are serious problems cropping up in early voting. Problems include the cityhood issue not being on the ballot at the poll, nor is it appearing on some absentee ballots.
Do NOT cast your ballot unless the cityhood question is on it, as you cannot retrieve it and correct anything if you submit the ballot. Here are some important guidelines:
1) If you cannot find the East Cobb Cityhood Ballot Question on your ballot, there are two likely reasons:
a) Your voter registration address is in zip code 30066. ECA just discovered over the weekend that no portion of this zip code is included in the Proposed City of East Cobb (“PCEC”). There are portions of only these 4 following zip codes in the PCEC boundary, but do not assume you are in the boundary based solely on zip codes:
30062
30067
30068
30075
b) If you think you are certain to live inside the boundaries of PCEC (plug your voter address into the address slot on this link to verify) and you do not see the East Cobb Incorporation Question on your ballot (it will likely be the very LAST item on the ballot), do not hit “Review” and do not print or put your ballot in the scanner. It is not the correct ballot!
Call the Poll Manager over immediately, and inform them that you do not have the right ballot.
Do not cast your ballot unless it is the correct one, as once you put the ballot in the scanner, you are done, your vote has been cast.
2) If you experience any problems as described above, please take the time to record your information into this online ECA Form, created to document these problems:

It is critical that each of us makes sure that the printout we put in the scanner is an accurate reflection of the vote we intend to cast. If it is not, then it is also incumbent on us to communicate with a Poll Manager and insist that the vote be changed to reflect our actual wishes.
