⇒ Follow the money – commercial real estate developers are funding the effort to separate us from Cobb County – that’s where the decisions will be made! And  the 2022 version of the effort hides its donors behind 501-c non-profit status. Their money will control future zoning decisions.

⇒ The Mayor and 3 Council members constitute a quorum. This means 1 council member could propose an action and 2 could vote no. The 3 missing votes are abstentions, which count as yes votes. One council member has decided an issue.

⇒ You do not vote for your own district representative! 

• The entire city votes for all six council members.
• Your council member is responsible to the entire voting population, not your district within the city.

⇒ Your county commissioner already represents you well

• Over the past 15 months, more than 90% of zoning votes were unanimous among the commissioners
• In the 17 cases that weren’t unanimous, the local commissioner has always won
